Ok I know that I just posted yesterday but it seems like it doesn't matter how much I talk about it or to how many people... I am just too excited and need to tell more people! The selling agent reached out to Kris today (our realtor) and told her a few things about the offer we submitted.... primarily that they won't close any later than 5/15/12 (we submitted 6/15). If we were ok with this, they would begin reviewing our offer. So of course we talked it over and agreed that 5/15 is just fine :) They then called back and said that we should see a counter offer by tomorrow! I am hoping it comes back good so we can accept and move on! Can I just say that the wait is making me physically ill! I am the most anxious person ALIVE!
On top of all of this, we are trying to finalize our pre-qualification. What a joke! They are sticklers! I don't really blame them but I do blame the mortgage industry and low-quality applicants who did receive funding and defaulted! You made a mess for the rest of us to wade in! Thanks a lot! We have a meeting with the mortgage company tomorrow so hopefully we can tidy that portion of it up, get our stuff to the underwriters and call it good!
Might as well give a wedding planning update while I am on here.... The following things are done: venue, reception food, DJ/music, photographer, wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses and officiant. Still need to get a cake decorator, buy Blake's ring, pick out tuxes, wedding shoes/accessories, invitations, put together rehearsal dinner, plan bachelor(ette) party, pre-wedding party, and determine flowers/centerpieces/bouquets. I have an appointment with the florist next week, a cake tasting this Thursday, invitations meeting in June, engagements in May, groomals in August, etc. This show is so close to being on the road! Now we are getting super excited!
Thanks for reading... hope to see you at our house warming party (fingers crossed) and the wedding/reception!
OH! And the honeymoon is booked! Here we come Costa Rica!

The House Hunt
Blake and I have been house hunting for almost 8 months now. It has been a dreary road.... up until yesterday. We finally found something that checked all of the boxes we have been accumulating. 3rd car garage, master bath, great room, large lot, location, location, location. We stumbled across the listing by mistake (a lucky one!) and went out to see it the next morning (Saturday). Suffice to say that we really liked it as we sent in an offer today! This is our first offer and it is exciting! My fingers are crossed and really hope that it works out! Will keep you posted :)

Final venue hunt...
Continued the venue hunt yesterday. Started up at Eldredge Manor. The garden area is gorgeous and laid out very well. The inside isn't bad, carpet and floors are a little interesting... If this is the place, hopefully the photographer can just edit the pics to make the floors a little different color.... green floors? Really? The price is VERY reasonable and I really like it. Sending Blake up to see

The Venue Hunt....
So today was another fun day of venue hunting. Started the day out at Louland Falls (previously known as Rose Sachs Garden). It was very pretty up there but a few things concerned us (guest capacity, parking, inclimate weather, etc). So another so-so venue to add to the maybe pile...
Second, I went up to St. Regis Deer Valley Resort. Beyond beautiful.... but what else would you expect from Park City?! You valet the car, take a funicular (mix between a tram/elevator) up the side of the mountain and up to the main resort. From there, there is a beautiful patio for the reception, plenty of space and what not. The resort itself is immaculate. Oh, and did I mention very, very, very spendy??? So, this one is out. Such is life.
Third venue was Tuscany. We are pretty sure this is where we want the grooms dinner but I thought I would check it out for the wedding/reception as well. It is very beautiful but I am not sure if there is enough room for our ginormous guest list.... oh did I mention that? 350 people? Never thought such a thing was possible... at least not for me! Anyways.... this is a second visit place... That makes 3 places so far in the "possible" pile (La Caille, Grand America & Tuscany). I know I know.... these are all spendy places. Ugh, this is very hard....
The final place isn't even worth describing.... except, don't ever consider Chateau Faire. Ever. For anything.
So not many people read this blog... actually, I don't think anyone but my mom does. But if someone else does and they happen to have venue suggestions for SLC, UT.... it would be very much appreciated!
Anyways, the goal is to have a venue picked by 2 weeks from today. Probably unrealistic considering how busy Blake and I both are but that is what I want to shoot for. So stay posted! Updates to come!

Le Premier....
I never quite understood the purpose of blogging. This is partially due to the fact that I have only heard of what blogger's write and do on TV/movies and it always seems to be a little too personal, too revealing. As contradictory as this is, anyone who knows me well, knows that I am very vocal about my life and all things/people involved in it. So you would almost think that blogging would be my thing! But the problem is, it's not just my life anymore and I am now realizing the importance of keeping personal things.... personal. So what am I going to blog about then.... I dont really know to be honest. Not yet anyways. Maybe I'll post about wedding plans/ideas or vacations, etc. Maybe I will just share the happy moments (beware, there are a lot of them)! Or maybe I'll write about nothing or vent about something. I guess I just want to talk and whoever wants to listen, can. BEWARE: THERE MAY BE A LOT OF TALKING ABOUT THE FIANCE, THE CATS AND FAMILY. SO READ AT YOUR OWN VOLITION! Oh, and strange humor.... ya there might be a lot of that as well....
